Hey im knew to the tuning world, i currently own hptuners (oh snap) But it looks like Predator tuners seem to be the easiest to understand and are user friendly. Atleast thats what i see.
So. THe question is simple, and its probably been asked a hundred times, i only tryed searching twice, but im not one to read trough 100 different threads to see the keyword mentioned once. SO here it goes, and flame away.
When will a tuning device be able to auto tune your car, Meaning, you plug it in, set commanded things such as AFR, and Spark, and you simply drive the car on a loaded dyno and the device logs info from user inputs such as knock sensors and calibrated widebands etc. then make the nessacary adjustments automatically to reach your commanded settings.
I know im a fool, its proabably been asked before, and there is probably an answer, but im more direct and like a simple answer, has it been done, is it possible, will it ever be something that can be had, i would drop a serious dime on something like that.
flame away

It has and can be done. It is not however something we do, so, your search will have to continue.

it's still not something a novice can jump into with nothing and come out with a properly calibrated setup.mikel wrote:It has and can be done. It is not however something we do, so, your search will have to continue.
OP - if you no interest in talking the time to learn about the tools and the process I wouldn't recommend spending more on tuning setups; sell your HPTuner's and use the dough to get your vehicle professionally tuned. You will even have some money left over!

I could be wrong but your vehicle does this the more you drive it. It constantly adjusted to changing conditions. The trick is to know whick variables you can/should change to get more power/mpg.
