Resetting factory tune? Tue or False???

One of the mechanics at work said that they can still tell if you had a tune installed after you restore the factory tune. If this is true how do you reset the factory computer so there is no record in the system log?

I've been seeing/hearing this around other forums as well about the trucks....

but luckily, not for my car and I have specifically and purposely asked and told my dealer to update my stuff everytime I've gone in there for service work... and they don't know and haven't seen/found anything as far as me re-tuning the car...

I restore my original backup when I get to their lot... they do their work/updates... I reload my tune and I leave the lot... no issues...




it's wierd that they could tell on yours but not others... of course, it does all depend on the computers in the vehicles...
