Camaro OS Update - Trinity Update 1r06g

I installed this "g" update on my new Trinity, but not sure if I should load the tune until I find out if it's meant for the Old Camaro OS (pre Nov) or for the latest Camaro OS.

I can go to the dealer and get ECM flashed if needed but would rather not.

was the trinity working ok for your camaro before?? had full functionality, adjustability?? if so, then you didn't need to update...

and now, you can't go backwards to a previous revision update either.... cuz it will detect that you're trying to downgrade to a previous/older revision, and won't let you... you'd need to call diablo tech support to force a backwards revision update...

but, doesn't matter... it shouldl still work with your car... the newer update was to add support for the newer camaro GM updates...

It's brand new...working fine so far... Haven't loaded any tunes yet.

I can switch back to the base load without revisions...

Problem is I don't want the new Camaro GM updates.... My ECM has not been flashed to the new OS.

the diablo tune won't install the GM updates to your car... the revision update is to support the camaro's that HAVE gotten the update from their GM dealers already...

and it still supports those that do not have the new gm update, like you, so you should be fine...

Sorry for starting another thread, but thought it needed a bit more attention since a lot of folks are asking the question about the OS update and I don't want to spread any mis-information when asked.

guess it doesn't matter which OS my car is on... the Trinity will recognize and load to the correct tune.

There are some good fixes with new GM OS... sounds like I'm free to take advantage of those now and still use the Trinity.

Thanks for clearing this up for me. Wish there was a place to read about rev updates. The Predator section doesn't say anything about the OS change even though I know r13 does address it.
