7194 tunes for 09 Avalanche

I was able to put a diablo tune in my AV, I did notice that there was a tune for 87 octane and then perfomance tune (no octane was lsited). I am assumeing that the latter is a higher Octane tune...anyone??? I think I will run the 87 octane for now-

Also Can you disable AFM/DoD like I did when I had this loaded in my Camaro?

Coreect. Yes, I believe under modify tune.

yes... the "Performance Tune" / "Diablo Tune" is made for 91/93 octane gas...

and yes, you can disable the DOD/AFM... hook it up to the car, and select the same tune you installed before, and then select Modify Tune - and then you can go into the DOD/AFM parameter and disable it... then install the modified tune...

Lew- Hey Bro, do you think I should do a couple of lft runs? All I have done to this AV is disable DoD, and load the 87 octane tune. I eventually will do a cold air and exhaust. But not much more.

That is unless we finally get some transmission settings to play with.

Anyway- I respect your knowledge, let me know what you think I should do.

well, obviously if you have and use 91 or 93 octane gas available in your area, you'd get better performance from the Performance Tune compared to the 87 octane tune...

but even on the 87 octane tune, yes - do some data logs and see where your average ltft's are at and adjust your injector slope accordingly... that will give you some better response even with the 87 tune...

Lew- when I was loading the tunes, first thing I noticed was there was no 91/93, Just Diablo performance tune or 87. I am guessing this is specific to the AV tunes???

Also- What gives on the Transmission Tunes and torque Management? Been hearing for a awhile, that it's coming. You heard anything?

Also for any one who cares, I installed a 87 Octane tune disable DoD and had a flowmaster 40 series installed. Drove 400+ miles yesterday running 70-73 MPH heading to Kansas from OK. My (hand) caculated MPG was 19.8. My AV has 1500 miles on it and from my perspective that is decent mileage! In town with same configuration, I got 16.3 MPG. It was not much better when in 4 cylinder mode was active.

torque management is removed in the tunes, for the engine side of things...

no TCM support yet, so can't do anything about the tranny stuff...
