POS Trinity code, review

I have the Trinity with the 67J_trinity-1r06 crom file in a 2006 Dodge 2500 5.9 diesel. I've had this POS chip for a week or so now. Had issue with the plug now the thing won't work at all with my truck. Had been working good, when it wasn't locked up. Whoever programmed the UI obviously doesn't use this product.

Error when trying to use a Diablo tune; Tow or Performance or resetting default:
"(3) This tool is not licensed for use with this vehicle"

It says the last tune was the default. However, when I hooked it to my PC to re-load the crom file, it told me the default was still there. I can't use this $800 BETA software.

WHAT'S THE FIX?

Did you have the tune installed then update the Trinity?

Tried to call. Spent nearly 15 cell minutes on hold. Tried to get the operator, but your phone system said operator was unavailable and hung-up on me. Do you have a direct line / extension or can you call me?

So now we're up to "vehicle not supported" and the truck won't start. I'm stranded at work... where I need to be working, not wrenching on my truck batteries like I'm at friggn Walmart...

Not to mention, I don't happen to carry tools with me.

Well... did the old battery disconnect for 20-some minutes in the downtown parking lot (classy), the truck still doesn't start, and Diablo "support" is gone home.

Where do I send the towing and the repair bills?

That is a really good question. I am still waiting on resolution.

My truck is running... after the dealership restored the ECM programming.

Well it's been 8 weeks since the DiabloSport Trinity stranded me.

SO happy I wasted $1000 on this thing.

I've heard NOTHING from my shop or from DiabloSport.

In review, I would certainly advise AGAINST purchasing this unit.

Sir, Trinitys sell for $599, not sure how you spent that much money on it.

If you need assistance, please, let us help you rather than come back 8 weeks later with a negative message.

Trinity + EGT probe + install + towing after it stranded me = $1000 + left me without my truck for a WEEK.

Along the way, I've been the target of the blame, not the precious Trinity & DiabloSport.

Last I knew, my Trinity unit was in DIABLO HANDS. My shop can't seem to get an answer.

I would have to agree and disagree with you. While i do love the product when it works, the customer service at this company is absolutely terrible. When the connector going into my unit broke, I sent it away to Diablo to get it fixed. I was left for 4 months waiting because I was told that I needed that exact same unit back into my truck for it to work properly, then when i get the unit back finally, I find out all they did was send me a new one. If that was the solution, I could have just got another one off of the shelf and away I go. Instead I had to pay to get my truck re-flashed at my own cost and nothing but a headache. And while it does sell for $599 now, the few of us who wanted the Trinity right upon the release paid over a $1000 for the unit and EGT probe, as Diablo did not drop the price until months after the release. And all I was told was to contact the dealer and they can give you a refund, which was complete BS because the dealer will not give you a refund cuz they will never get a refund from Diablo. So ya, while it does work great when it actually works, trying to get any kind of service out of this company is just a complete nightmare
