2005 Neon SRT-4 U7134 Question

Post by Philth »

I last had the DSP when it was on crom v11. Back then, the S3 PCM would not respond properly to any commands I uploaded from the DSP. Specifically, the cooling fans would cause problems. For instance, when I changed the fans to come on at 185*, the fans would not come on until the stock temp activation of 206*, but then they wouldn't shut off at all once on. So, the PCM was seeing something different, but it just wasn't performing the change properly. I also experienced no responses at all to timing at fuel changes for the WOT tables as well.

Also, the performance 93 tune netted me an instant 13.2 AFR across the board during WOT.

Does anybody know if this has been fixed? I would like to buy it again and give it a try, but the above problems were a little alarming.

Odd, I have never seen or heard of another S3 car with this issue....

I owuld say even if there is a problem, it can easily be solved via a few emailed custom tunes...

What do you mean? Are you saying the flash says it has completed, but nothing has changed or are you getting an error when trying to flash?
The apostrophe does not mean "Look out, here comes an S"!

"I couldn't care less" means it is impossible to care less - "I could care less" just makes you look stupid.

yea it says that tune is complete but my fans dont come on when i set the for 185 and the boost wont go more then 15lbs which is spring pressure! i can max the boost controller out with the trinity and still only see 15lbs.

Are you running PCM controlled boost, or do you have some other type of setup? If you aren't on PCM controlled (EBC, MBC, WGA bleed etc) changing boost with the programmer won't get you anything.

Don can better answer the fan question. I know some people have reported having this issue with the staged PCMs.

Are you talking about the spike, or what it is holding at redline? If you are talking what it is holding, the stock turbo won't do much more than 15-16 psi.

PCM controlled boost on a big turbo is a whole new animal. Do you have a CMR tune? I certainly hope so. The 93 octane tune won't work for your setup.

Who did it? You need to work with your tuner.
