C6 MN6 93 Octane
Hi I just got my tuner, and was wondering if my logs look ok. For some reason i'm only able to get a few minutes following the stickies instructions. I noticed that not all of my 'Knock Retard' is 0's...is that bad? The min of KR is 0...max is 10.2. I am running the 93 octane tune...and run 93 octane.
Attached is my logs...this was done in 5th and 6th gear.
Should I perhaps be going off of whatever my logs should say from first gear up until 6th from 0 to 65...with a few seconds of WOT (8 seconds)?

yeah, the short data log is a known issue for your Vette / Predator.
you have a lot of KR... especially throughout one of those whole WOT runs... yeah, that's not good. what brand of gas do you use?? at at 100% throttle position, the log is only showing 1,3xx rpms????
your normal cruise/driving ltft's are at -5.xxx... so you should adjust the injector slope to be +5%.

Sheetz gas...93 octane. The WOT run was done prolly in 5th or 6th gear...so yeah the rpms would be low....would that kind of WOT at such a high gear at low rpms cause that much KR? Also would fixing my LTFT's help the KR?

Here are two more logs I took today...I forgot to put it in Competition Driving Mode (No Traction Control) in the 1st_run in this post here...so maybe that accounts for the knock in the first second or so. These numbers seem to be a little better KR wise than my first I posted last night...the max is only 6.xx in my 1st_run in this post....it was mostly WOT. The 2nd_run is mostly cruising with a little WOT.

yes, if you're in that high of a gear, and floor it at that low of an rpm, you will get a lot of KR 'cuz you're bogging down the engine.LostAngel wrote:Sheetz gas...93 octane. and yes, getting the fuel trims in order by adjusting the injector slope will help.
see if you can get some Mobil, Exxon, Sunoco, Amoco, or BP 93 octane gas. That will likely help with the KR issues as well. I know it did for me. I used to use Shell 93 which I thought was supposed to be good, but after speaking with the fine folks here at Diablosport, I found out that was not the case. After switching to Mobil 93 a while ago, a lot of the KR I used to get is gone.

are you using the new 3.1 dataviewer??? I ask because your WOT AFR values are 17, 18+ - when they should be in the 12's... there's a known issue I found in the 3.1 dataviewer that does this when saving out the log to a .csv file.

those are still showing average ltft's of -5.xxx... so, we need to adjust the injector slope.
set the injector slope to +5%. and also set both rpm ranges in the PE to +5%. We want to add fuel to the PE right now so that you stay safe - 'cuz by setting the injector slope positive, we're telling the ECM that your injectors are bigger and to spray less fuel. And if they're spraying less fuel, we don't want to get too lean when you go WOT and cause any issues. So we'll pad the PE for now and re-adjust it once we see the normal driving ltft's are in range.

Alright, I wont be able to until I get out of work at 5:00 EST...i'll do it as soon as I get out, and hopefully by 6:00 - 6:30 ill have the logs sent to you. Now once I update this tune, and drive for 30 minutes...do you want to see me cruising? Or WOT runs?
