Needing to pay $99 does not sound right.
I paid $375 For My Predator, it started out as a U9000 so if it is a hardware issue then all the predators should be F'ed up.
What exactly is the limitation that makes the predator not able to read/write the TCM?
Is there anyway to make the predator open source or make the croms viewable outside the predator?

Thats what Im curious about too, I mean the 9r05 writes to the TCM with no problems, so does the 9r04 so why would the unit itself be f'd up if both the CROM releases prior to this one worked fine and wrote to the TCM.HeLLSPaWN wrote: What exactly is the limitation that makes the predator not able to read/write the TCM?
With the 9r06 CROM as well as the other the options prior to actually loading the tune onto the vehicle doesn't even show the trans support, hell when it first reads the vehicle it doesn't even read the TCM. But going from those CROM's back to older CROM's and everything reads perfectly.

I have been having the same problem with the tcm not being read for the 9r06,so I went back to 9r05 and it works fine. Mike will you send me the fix so I can try it on my 2005? Thanks

Guys who got the email sent to them last week, POST UP if it is working for you or not and if you have the tcm calid or not.

I recently got a DSP for my 05 ram. It came with 9r04 installed. I have been running it and debating on whether or not to update it to the 9r06. I have been reading about these issues with the 9r06, so should I update or stay with the 9r04. What will I gain if I upgrade. It seems like I may loose my TCM control. What should I do?
Ok. I was talking with someone on another forum. I decided to update to the 9r06 crom, since the person I was talking to can email me the old crom if I want to go back.
Well I downloaded it and just got done installing it in my 05 ram.
It reads the TCM and writes to it during install. However I have no trans options anymore.
I do have both PCM and TCM CALIDs
I also gained throttle sensitivity adjustment (might be a good thing, I'll have to mess with it) and MDS adjustment (I have an 05 with NO MDS)
So I guess add me to the list of no trans adjustments???

Ok, I have the 9r07b tune in my Ram. Unless I'm missing something, I think everything worked well for me. I don't have the tool plugged into the truck, but when I supply power it shows last tune written was 93 perf. The truck seems to be responding well, and I was able to modify trans controls. I had everything from throttle sensitivity and MDS on the engine side to LP settings and shift point RPMs on the trans side. The truck seems to have a smoother tune now. What I mean is... it doesn't try to rip my head off if I'm cruising at low RPMs when it decides to shift, but if I let it shift at full throttle, it'll go sideways when it firmly hits second gear. Much smoother and more comfortable for passengers than I had before.
So, am I missing something...?

Hmm... I'll plug it in in the morning and see if I can change anything in the trans. I made the changes in the tool before actually installing the tune in the truck. Maybe it didn't make the changes and I just thought it did. It definitely tuned the trans, but I don't know for sure if it took the mods I set for it, or if it ignored them and just used the canned tune. I'll post whatever I find within the next few days, tomorrow if I can find the time. I gotta try to figure out if there's a trans setting I can change that I will notice the difference. Maybe a downshift RPM setting.

Majefski i see you say you have the 9r07b crom where did you get this? Right now the site only has u7137-9r06.crom (2574k). And to diablo what are the changes between the two?

mikel - Quick question, is there any difference in the tuners between the ones that started out as a U9000 that were then converted into a U7137 vs the ones that came as a U7137? Just wondering if that is the issue?
