2003 Avalanche LTFT confusion

Post by nfeavy »

I recently did a data log with my computer and U7193 and adjusted the LTFTs per DSLogRedux and drove a few hundred miles and then today did another test and the LTFTs were just as high as before and DSLogRedux suggested another -7% Injector Slope reduction resulting in a -15% overall. What is bizarre is the first log had a WOT of ~2% on bank 1 & 2, and an LTFT of ~7%. Second test today it maintained the LTFT of ~7% but the WOT was ~8% all while maintaining an AFR of 12.7 throughout. No other changes made other than those recommended by DSLogRedux. Diablo Tune with 93 gas. Also, after the second adjustment MAF code and Rich Bank 1 and Bank 2 code occured.

If anyone could help it'd be greatly appreciated.

yeah, don't worry about WOT stuff when you're doing the cruising logs and getting your fuel trims dialed in...

did you do these logs in about the same outside temps?? can't do one log when it's 30* out, and then another log when it's 50* out, cuz the data will be off... air temp makes a difference... need to make sure you do logs in the same weather conditions...

are you saving the slope change once you make it, by pressing the center button on the predator - and then pressing the ESC button a few times until it asks you "Install tune now?" - then you select YES and it installs the changes to the truck?

Yes the temperature is probably within 5 degrees. The Arkansas weather is unforgiving on continuity. Yes I saved the slopes and everything as necessary. So now its at -16 and according to the DIC(which I know is only a guide) it is getting phenomenal fuel economy. Idk what could possibly be causing this otherwise.

Also, I would like to note that the LTFTs and AFR randomly changed throughout each log. No real explanation for it.
