Missing gauge skins and backgrounds

Just purchased/received trinity. All of the gauge skins and backgrounds appear to be gone/missing. When I try to set a background from the list it states the update has been saved but nothing appears. On the gauges I only see numbers or the red wiper but nothing else.
Just ran the most recent update but no change.

Reload the 1r07 crom with DSDownloaded. Even if that is the revision already on the Trinity, reload it.

after you run a revision update on the trinity, you have to make sure you re-select your vehicle to actually have the update "load/install"...

so, after updating the trinity, go in and reselect your vehicle from the supported vehicle list first, before you try to do anything..

then see if it's back to normal...

Okay, I can't get the downloader tool to recognize my trinity now. I had a lot of problems before and when it finally connected it was on com 17. It starts over at com 16 now. Don't have another pc to test on so I am out of luck if you can't get this to work.

Firewall is off and there is no anti-virus software installed. Windows XP.

The COM port should not matter. Verify you have "Options->Auto Connect " selected and don't have Dataviewer open at same time.

I moved the cable to a different USB port and that fixed the connectivity issue. Re-uploaded the CROM and the skins/backgrounds now working.
