Need help uploading new revision U7194

So I went to RadioShack and bought a USB to serial cable so I could install the newest revision update for my 2007 C6 Coupe. I'm having some "technical difficulties" transferring the new file from my computer to the Predator. When I go into the Device Manager, I don't have a "ports" option to click on in order to set the baud rate. When I try to go in manually and transfer the file through the DSDownloader, it says it failed.

Anyone know what I can do to get this to work? I don't really want to wait til Monday to talk to Mike on the phne

Sounds like the driver is not installed for the USB device.
In the device manager look under "Other" to see if the cable is shown there. It must be plugged in to see it.

I don't believe the driver is installed because when I click on the install wizard and it goes through its automatic searching and whatnot it says the driver is not installed because it doesn't recognize it... In the Device Manager, when I double click on the USB Device that pops up, ther eis not "port settings" under the properties for this device. There is nowhere for me to adjust the baud rate.

If it is not installed, you cannot set the baud rate.
You need to reinstall the driver.

I try let Windows search for the driver. It cannot find one. I try to manually direct it to the driver though the Device Manager but it says no drivers can be found. What am I missing here?

did the drivers come on a cd? ...if you didnt already, try going to the website pf the manufacturer of the cable...and usally under support or help they have the driver's for download.

It's a Radioshack cable. I was under the impression it needed to install the driver for the Predator rather than the cable, but as we all know there is no cd that comes with the Predator. That's what has me confused.

No, the driver comes with the USB to serial cable, and that is what you need to install.

I am going to bump this because I was having the same problem. Make sure you install the driver from the CD or you can't find the Ports selection on your device manager. As soon as I installed the driver it was smoothe sailing
