05' Dodge Ram - u7137-9r06 - No more Trans control????

That's a good question. Mine actually says U7137 on the sticker on the back if this helps at all. I bought it right after they started supporting the 06 Ram (late 08 or early-mid 09 I think).

...Just some food for thought for those who think that tech support is not being timely on their response...
They are running tech support for this entire site and their entire line of products. If Mike is the only one answering posts, then his job can be pretty overwhelming at times I'm sure. I have a staff of 5 to support 2000 people. We usually close about 20-30 tickets per day and typically hold about 80-90 tickets in the queue (200 after a major rollout). That's about industry standard.
As much as I'd like to, I can't get to everybody's issue within the time frame they'd like to see. I suspect DS tech support runs into the same issue I do with servicing our customers. They've been pretty responsive to customers requests (at least I've always been satisfied when I either called, or posted (I used to post under a different name for my F150 years ago, but completely forgot what my user name was))...
Anyway, I'm still looking for a moment to go test some things out to verify it is reading my trans. I'll post up later.

Good point Majefski, plus I imagine that there are a couple of guys (or girls) out on vacation with their families, being a vacation week for some schools. Just be thankful that they haven't "off-shored" the customer service.
RE: Re: RE: Re: RE: Re: RE: Re: RE: Re: RE: Re: RE: Re: RE:
they had one person in tech support for a couple of days according to what monte says so I can only imagine how stressed that guy was towards the end of the week.
They should be getting back up to normal in tech support on monday. I would rather have 1 mike litsch and wait for help than 20 people from overseas that I cannot understand what they are saying and that do not know anything about cars.

I'm going to throw mine into the ring too.
I just bought a U7137 - waited 9 days to arrive. The tool was loaded with 9r06 already and no updates required to PCM were flagged.
I have a 2010 Ram 1500 4x4 and I also do NOT have a TCM ID when plugged into the truck / key on. I also have no transmission options at all. The Quick Adjust menu contains only tire size - nothing else....
Is this going to be an ongoing issue with these programmers?
Thanks.
Paul

Just thought I would post this for info, today my friend with a 04 ram hemi, came over to try the predator, 1st I loaded 9r05, it loaded fine, went to check and it had written to both the pcm and tcm (of course being an 04, no tranny control available). Went back in and loaded 9r06 on the tool and then loaded it to the truck. It loaded but when I checked it did show it had written to the pcm, not the tcm. When loading 9r06 the tool said it was "writing to vehicle", where the 9r05, when loading said "writing to pcm" then "writing to tcm". Just figured I put this out there, hope it helps.

If the 9r05 works on the 2010, could someone be kind enough to send it to me, or post it please?
TIA

On page 7 is the 9t07b revision. I've been running this in my 06 Ram for a week now and I like it better than any of the previous ones (including 9r05). Things seem to be a bit smoother in this beta version (especially the MDS activation/deactivation) plus I have trans control back. Overall drivability is more comfortable, but the power and performance is there when you put your foot down.
Just my $.02 worth though.
One thing to consider...I know this was mentioned a little before, but I don't know when they added support for the 2010 model, if your truck takes a tune that wasn't meant for it, you may damage something (I see it all the time in my line of work where people brick their hardware by forcing an incorrect software revision flash on it). So, unless someone can tell you for sure that 9r04 and/or 9r05 supported your truck, I'd be concerned about going backwards. I'd stick with 9r06 or the beta revision I mentioned earlier if mine were a 2010.

@truckin - thanks for that. I downloaded it and will keep it handy until I hear back from Mike.
@Majefski - I agree completely with what you are saying. I have PM'd Mike with my issue and will wait to see what he says. I'd like to try the b7 version, but will wait for him to tell me it's okay. Other than missing TCM support, the tune seems solid - far better milage - but I'd like to firm up the shift a little. Not used to a tranny that shifts like a wet noodle!
Thank you both for the reply.

Thats great if it works and I agree that it does feel like a much stronger tune, but for a lot of us it still does not work. If I could ghet the extra power along with my shift schedule I'd love it, but the more I have tried it and the more I have had others try the different tunes on the different sites I am on, the more it looks like the issue is with the tuners that started out as a U9000 as they are the ones not working. The ones that started out as a U7137 are working fine with the fix.Majefski wrote:On page 7 is the 9t07b revision. Still seems like a programming issue to me though....

Well, I tried the b7 version on my 05 and still no trans control.Tuner did not even mention anything about TCM and no shift point adjustment.

Then Maybe a free swap by Diablosport is in order.
They should be able to be reset to U9000 by D.S. so resale is viable
I love my predator but I want to get rid of the issues.

After posting last night, I started thinking that the beta revision might be just for the 2006 model and up or for the newer tool. I figured I fell into a niche for having everything working with the beta, though it didn't work with the 06 revision...
Good luck to everyone out there still experiencing issues.
