05' Dodge Ram - u7137-9r06 - No more Trans control????

RE: Re: RE: Re: RE: Re: RE: Re: RE: Re: RE: Re: RE: Re: RE:
That be great except with the mods I have I need the fuel adjustments, it needed 6% added fuel to get the A/F to 12.3 for WOT runs and get rid of the ST KR.
RE: Re: RE: Re: RE: Re: RE: Re: RE: Re: RE: Re: RE: Re: RE:
Majefski - there are 05's running the beta with it working, but they are using the programmers that started out as a U7137, not the U9000. I cant imagine that that would make a difference but who knows

shut up bob... lol... I want some sort of answer from diablo as to why one version of the tuner works with it and the other doesnt. and if it is an issue with the tuner as of now I know of at least 25 people that are having this issue with this crom release only
RE: Re: RE: Re: RE: Re: RE: Re: RE: Re: RE: Re: RE: Re: RE:
It does sound more and more like a tuner issue... I was just surprised that everything worked for me, usually I'm on the receiving end of some fluke issue that nobody can (or will) explain.
I wish you guys the best on this...

Well, I have an answer for my problem anyway...
According to Johan, the 07 and up won't show the TCM in the information window. The only part of the tranny that is tunable (right now) is part-throttle downshift and shift points. All these are written via PCM (likely controlled by it if I understand this). So much of the information for the U7137 on the product page is pretty much useless to a truck newer than 2006 because it simply doesn't apply. I own a 2010.
I bought this tuner based on information on the product page - which, apparently is simply not right based on the year and type of vehicle it's being installed on. They really need to chart all the features of this tuner along with year and model then simply place an X in all the features that apply to each year/model. This would tell us immediately whether we're getting what we thought we were paying for.
If someone can educate me differently, I would appreciate being wrong this time.

Maybe they should have left the trans controls alone in the 06 model as well...
You know, I still have the weird shifting issue (where it feels like I manual and I have the clutch partially engaged and then pop it out) when making a right turn from a dead stop. This only happens when the truck is tuned. It goes away completely when it's de-tuned.
I feel like I'm just waiting for my trans to explode one day. It allows free-revving with about 30% of the torque being applied to the trans, then without warning or a smooth transition, 100% of the torque will hit the trans instantaneously causing an uncomfortable jolt (all this happens after the turn is complete and I'm traveling in a strait line at low-med throttle). Now here's the weird thing... If I gun it while taking off from a corner, the issue does not exist, but that catches the attention of the cops too easily (I can just see it now... I'm sorry officer, but I HAVE to take off like that from every corner... otherwise my transmission explodes).
I thought maybe I had a transmission issue... so I de-tuned it and took it in for service. They kept it for 2 days and told me they couldn't find anything wrong with it. So I drove it for a week de-tuned and had no evidence of the issue. The day I tuned it again... the issue returned immediately.
When I recognize this issue, I'll keep the throttle low until it fixes its self, but I'm not the only person who drives this truck. So I'm waiting from a call from my wife or my Dad telling me that there was a loud bang under the truck, the engine is revving but it's not going anywhere, and there is a red puddle on the ground underneath...

My diablo was never anything else but a U7137, and it still does not have trans control.

I made a post about this inthe other thread last week...motorscooter wrote:Mikel can we get some kind of answer on this. we know you guys are busy but you said you where going to fix this.
I need to know if your predator can read the PCM and TCM calids under options/troubleshooting/show calid.
If not, I will replace it.

You guys picking up the shipping costs? I shouldn't have to because of equipment problem, which, I'm not entirely convinced is the problem. Cause if that's the case, I'll just keep it and use 9r05.
@Mike Litsch - you may want to have a discussion with Johan then. I have been using PM to understand if the 2010's were supposed to have the same parameters as the earlier Rams. What I posted is what he told me. If I should have the options the earlier Rams have then I suspect my unit isn't right either.
Please respond to my earlier PM and we can decide.
