100 hp tune
I recentley bought a predator for my 2003 6.0 U7165 v. 9r11. I have some questions regarding the 100hp tune. First i was wondering how safe it is to run on 200,000 mile truck and how high will my egt's get i dont yet have a pyro. Also it doesnt seem to run as good as it should im building more boost with the 60 hp tune. i normally make 25-30psi with the 60 hp tune and i was only making 20psi on the 100hp. it seems to fall on its face after it comes off the line. Ive heard guys on here say that the older versions run better?
RE: 100 hp tune
what cal ID are you on? It's your call on the mileage. The head bolts are weak on these engines and they tend to blow head gaskets often. I would invest in an EGT gauge as you are better safe then sorry. They stayed surprisingly low during testing

RE: 100 hp tune
Hey Don sorry I was away from a computer over the weekend for awhile my cal id is VXAP2N2.
RE: 100 hp tune
the vxap were good performers, if you feel the engine is in good running conidition then go for it. If you want you can send me a backup and i can make you somehting with good throttle response but won't be as harsh on the truck as the 100hp would be to a high mileage motor like that.

RE: 100 hp tune
got it, will blast you over something quick. For all those wondering, there is a new update coming for the 6.0 shortly after some testing, i will address these weaker tunes as well in it. There is also a very nice surprise for all of you!

RE: 100 hp tune
Got it thanks. It runs great its actually a good but faster than my 100 hp tune. Do u have an estimate of how much the new tune is?
RE: 100 hp tune
Don,
When can we expect to see the update for the 6.0? My 05 Ford Excursion 6.0 Diesel is sucking down fuel compared to before Ford Flashed the truck. You have worked with me before but it never was right. Going from 20-21 mpg to a high of maybe 15 mpg and less Horsepower compared to when it would throw me back in my seat.....sucks...

Well i have been sent a few logs of vxcf9 trucks as of late and they definitely aren't getting the fuel thats commanded of them. I have the tunes and everything set up already but i would like to look into the vxcf9 stuff a bit more to see why exactly they are be limited on fuel.

RE: 100 hp tune
Any luck yet. I can't hardly wait to get my old truck back.
RE: 100 hp tune
Is it not recommended to run 100 hp tune on higher mileage trucks? I have 115,000 on a 2005 6.0. I seem to get better mileage with this tune as opposed to the 60 hp tune. I have used the Predator since the truck was born.

You'll be fine as long as you dont beat on it.
