U7194s not updateable via internet?

Not updateable via internet? Some of the used U7194s on eBay & elsewhere say that the unit "can not be updated via the internet. This tool can be upgraded by Diablosport for $95, which would then allow it to be updated over the internet, or you can use it on trucks that still have the original flash with no issue. These units are sold as obsolete devices". Can somebody explain this? Is this true of all U7194s that are over a year old? If not, how can you tell whether the unit is updateable via the internet? and I wouldn't buy from ebay anyway... you get no warranty, and a lot of people get them and they are still locked to a previous vehicle and can't be used until they pay an additional $129 to diablosport now to get it unlocked...

you can get them brand new, with full warranty, for only $299 at an authorized diablosport dealer/reseller...

yeah, that's an old 7180 predator... not a 7194... all 7194's have always been internet updatable... heh...

but yes, that guys ad is correct... those older 7180 tools, when they were on those old revisions, could NOT be updated via the internet download revision updates...

but the newer versions of them CAN be updated via internet downloads - new hardware is used in the new updated models of the 7180s...

there are also some REALLY old U7180's out there that could not be updated AND were permanently VIN locked to the truck (even after being returned back to stock).

I would never buy a used U7180 tuner on ebay/private party/classified unless it has the latest 9Rxx software/hardware setup.
