Ram 2010 - Trinity Tuning

Just purchased the Trinity last week. Thought it would be helpful to post some results.

Truck
2010 Ram 1500 Laramie 2x4
Volant CAI
Bed cover (a little weight)
No other mods

In the 87 Oct mode, I reduced the throttle sensitivity by 5% as it seemed like I was driving the vehicle most of the time with only an inch of pedal movement. I don't know how that effected any of the following.

Using the Race monitor mode on the Trinity with start being 'when motion begins' as opposed to the race lights, these are what I experienced in best 0-60 mph times on the same stretch of pavement

Stock Tune - 7.72 seconds
87 Oct Tune - 7.42 seconds

Consistently got .30-.25 seconds reduction in 0-60 time. Temperature was a pleasant 61 degrees so no A/C.

The monitor offers a torgue guage that feeds off the engines computer. In tune mode, the highest I have seen is 427 ft/lbs. The high and low resets when the engine shuts off on the gauge, so I have to look often.

I have three issues/requests. The spot where the Trinity connects is right under the steering wheel. Can I move/hide the connection behind the dash plastic?

2ndly, will a custom tune for the volant intake improve my results?

3rdly, there was no 89 Oct tune in the Trinity will there be an update for that at some point?

In general, this was a very fast truck and made only faster with the Trinity. As I get some opportunity to do so, I will post estimated mpg benefit as well.

Glad you are enjoying it, and seeing good gains.

If you are asking about moving the OBDII connector under the dash, yes, be careful when doing it, but it is an option.

No need for an 89 octane tune, there is no more power to be had than what you'll get with 87, so it is just a waste of money...

Your thoughts about the benefit of a custom tune for the intake? Or after I get crazy and add a catback exhaust?
