I have a VR7191 Vortech Predator 05-06 LS2, Pn.:169092
I have need a Crom files for this product, because I don't find them on the Diablo sites.

when it boots up and is at the main menu, there's a number at the top of the screen... that's the revision number...

what is it?

there may not be any update for that model/revision predator you have...

Our customer make a little bit stupid thing, was tried to update the his VR7191 predator without saved the original tuning files and they missing these with the Crom files, because he maybe????? tried to update with a VR7194 Crom.
On the update procedure the program first cleared the original VR7191 Crom, but with the VR7194 Crom can't finished the update.
At the moment, when we connect the predator to the car the following massage flash: "This vr7191 tool requires a CROM file before use".
Therefore we have need an original VR7191 Crom!

A little bit hard to get an update file over the phone calling from Europe.
I don't understand why can't to get an update Crom. file through on the web like VR7194,VR7193,VR7198..........?????
Any solution from some body?

you need to call them because the tool is messed up - it has no crom file on it at ALL at this point, and somehow, it got erased, which shouldn't have happened... so THIS is why you need to call them to figure out what happened...

Hi, I was send back to the Vortech the messed up Predator handheld and they are now sending a new other one.
I want to upgrade my car and the Predator says to the following:
12596660:part number not found in vehicle data base.
It is crazy thing. The predator revision V.8r02.

I can't to send any performance tune files to the PCM, because this chip P/N not found in the Predator register. Which is the car??? The Vortech supercharger kit was installed 6 monts ago and the customer can't drive, only safe mode!!!!
I can't upgrade the Predator, because not found this model on the diablowebsite.
I can't do anything?....

That is an old calibration form GM, it will need to be updated at a GM dealer to work with the Predator.

you need to have that cars pcm updated by a dealer... that's an old calibration id 12596660... there are many threads around this forum about this issue...

but the end result is the same - you need to get that pcm updated at the dealer to get a newer calibration ID in it... then the predator will work for you...
