Shift Point Changes - 2008 Hummer H2
Hi,
Can anyone tell me if the Trinity supports shift point changes in a 2008 Hummer H2. If not, when would it be available or will be available?
Thanks!
Phillip

I wonder if that meant it won't be coming out any time in the near future? Sounds like they're tired of people asking about TCM support.... I bet as soon as they come out with TCM support, there will be another loooong topic with a BUNCH of pissed off people that can't update their Predators because the CROM files are too big. I know that I will be one of them. I still have my Predator because I refunded the guy that I sold it to due to the Predator not supporting his truck because the latest CROM file is too big for it. And his truck is a 2008. I can't help but wonder if the same thing is going to happen to the "older" Trinity tuners later down the road...Ill_Born_SS wrote:Did they finally gag you and duct tape you to your chair, to keep it quiet!mikel wrote:Im not talking about it till it is done.DHufton wrote:How interesting??? Well, I kinda understand what your saying...But they know what is going on and if they want to risk their reputation on cpap like that!!! I don`t think so, for one they have already told everyone on this forum that if it is still under warrenty, get an RMA and they will take care of it. For the others I think that the $99 upgrade still stands firm, not such a bad deal! I am not sure if the same works if you want to move/upgrade to the Trinity. Yes I think TCM support may already be ready but they must have a huge hole in the pow-wow room trying to figure all the extingushed fires behind them and in front with the CROM issue that will rear its head. ONE thing to remember is, they dragged the technology forward and against anything out there we the customer will end up with an awesome tool to brag about or drool over or just outright enjoy.

So... is it safe to go with the Trinity for a 08 H2? I am kind of up in the air over the Cortex and the Trinity. I like the features of both, but want something that wont have problems, not going to get much help from GM Hummer
Just wanted to get some over all suggestions or input?
Thanks All!
Thanks All!

Don't get me wrong. I really like the products that DiabloSport puts out. Since 2003, I've had 3 Predators and now a Trinity and I've enjoyed every minute of having my trucks tuned. I know about the whole warranty deal or submit a RMA and pay $99, but I have a hard time accepting that since mine isn't under warranty. The reason is that up until recently, I would have been able to update my Predator if they had of released TCM support. FOR FREE. But now I am SOL and they want me to pay another $99 so that the tool can accept the larger CROM files. We've had hopes, since 2007, that TCM support would be released "in a few months" and now they add another kicker to it. It just doesn't seem right to me.Ill_Born_SS wrote:Well, I kinda understand what your saying...But they know what is going on and if they want to risk their reputation on cpap like that!!! I really like my Trinity and I've been showing it off to all of my buddies, making them jealous. It's nice having all of the features of the Trinity at your fingertips while driving down the road. The Trinity seems very reliable and I haven't had any problems with mine, so I'd say it is safe to go with a Trinity. For the most part DS has really awesome tech support and can help you out with any questions/concerns that you may have about the Trinity supporting your Hummer.pjtem wrote:So... is it safe to go with the Trinity for a 08 H2? Hey, thanks for the input!
It looks like a great product. Yea, I have read all the info & watched the videos. It's pretty much everything I was looking for in a programer. The only question I had was was the shifting points. The Cortex does, and the Trinity doesnt for my truck at this time, but it seems that maybe that is in the works. I havnt come across many H2 owners using it, but it's new.
Thanks again!

TCM is definitely in the works for our vehicles. I personally like the Trinity a lot better than the Cortex. The Trinity is more appealing to the eye and a lot cooler to play with. It looks like the Trinity also has a ton of features compared to the Cortex. Not to mention, with DS you can get one of those bada$$ custom tunes from 06MonteSS. What size engine do you have in the H2?
