Chevy silverado high ltft

Post by nineninties »

I have 2000 chevy 1500 4.8, K&n cai, single flowmaster exhuast and a predator u7198 9r15 with the 87 tune. ive been working on getting it tuned for a while now and i cant figure out what my problem is . I had a fuel indacating problem, some pinging, along with p0137 and p0157 . i did some troubleshooting and replaced the fuel pump, fuel filter, fuel regulator, pcv which corrected those problems. Im still getting high ltft's. i have a small leak after leak after the cats . could that cause it? i did some short logs due to weather. any suggestions ?

wow, yeah your ltft's are pegged... definitely have leaks...

I'd also check all the clamps on your CAI, from the air filter all the way back to the throttle body, make sure everything is TIGHT...

K&N's are known for loosening up...

also, fix all of your exhaust leaks...

I took my truck to a muffler shop and the tech couldn't find any leaks with the exhuast the cai looks nice and tight and I'm not getting any dtc. could it be that the dealer messed with the settings because i cant find any leak

nah... dealers can't "tune" it... they don't have the equipment to do that... all they can do is download GM programming, but they can't change anything like you can with a predator...

Is your mass air flo sensor clean? Is it stock? Is the screen in it and secure?

It looks alittle dirty . Yes its is the stock one and the screen is in it . the two of the three bolts that are on it were slightly loose. I think im gonna run buy auto zone tomorrow to get some cleaner and i will check the ltft's again

the loose bolts would be an issue too... an air leak...

gotta make sure everything is TIGHT from the air filter back through to the throttle body...
