speed limiter ? 01 duramax

I have a 2001 chevy duramax 2500 hd ext. cab short bed 4X4, 4 inch turbo back, intake, tuner (u7180)

i love every thing about it and my truck, but when i tune my truck i set the speed limiter for 120 mph. but yet it still cuts me out at 98 mph. like stock. why is this ?

hmm. i wish i could help but im afraid i might have the same problem. i set my extreme tune on 120mph and it worked the first time. i got up to one 115 pretty quick but was gettin a lil nervous. i tuned it back to tow to pull and when i put it back on extreme it hasnt worked. i tryed redoing the 120 setting and it still cuts off at about 95 or so. im right there with you now. sorry

Yeah, i just dont know why it wont let me do it, i tune it on the same tune as you and right before i attach the tune to the truck i go in a set the speed limiter and it has never worked sence day one. i just dont know why tho ???? but i am very satisfied with the way it preformes there for im not complaing. just wanted to know why, you know.

hmm. im, not sure what to tell you with that one. sorry. but i know what your sayin. i love mine. the tune is amazing. by the way. i already ordered it, but im not sure if i should do this. im planning on stacking my predator with an extreme power puck. that way i can leave my predator on tow or stud, and have the power puck for on the fly. the diablo sport guy said it was a great idea, but ive heard otherwise at other places. u have any input on it??

Any chance you have the cables to connect the predator to thePC so you can export the tune so I can take a look?
