Unable to download DCX software

I left the same question in the General discussion area.
Can't figure out how to download the software. I thought once the account was setup there was a CMR login / download area. I have been calling, waiting on hold, leaving messages and sending emails with no response. I do not like open forums but hopefully this will get a response.

When you log in, click the 'CMR dealer' button that appears where you typed in your username.

Go to CMR software, and you will see a link for the CMR full installer, download this, and you are set.

IF the CMR dealer button does not appear then what do you do??

sorry, for some reason you did not have the cmr dealer access, I fixed it.

Relog in and it will be there.

Now I can't register my software. Keep getting Login Failed. Have used the help screen to try to manually register, but still won't work. Any suggestions??

are you using your same username and password that you log in to these forums with??

do you have any firewall or antivirus software running?? try disabling them if you do....

I checked your CMR settings, and they are all correct here on this end from what I can see...

I can not do that. I.T. has everything protected and it can not be shut off. I will ask them tomorrow but I'll bet I already know the answer. Not sure why if I could download and run the software from your site, why I can't register it. Or why when the disc showed up that there wasn't the "Super Secret Key" to enter to activate the account. I can give you the computer ID number if that is what you need, but won't do it here.

a-HA!!! if your IT dept. has systems locked down, then that's your issue...

because the diablo software/servers access your computer and windows registry in order to get your computer hardware ID's, IP addresses and everything from the computer that is running the software... to compare the info that is stored/saved on diablo's servers to make sure you're allowed to be using the software, how many licenses you have, what vehicles you're licensed to be able to tune, etc etc.

it does this everytime you start up the software and log in - to query the diablo database to see if the person logging in has rights to use the software, and to see what family of vehicles they are allowed to tune for.

so if IT has stuff locked down tight like that, it's not allowing communication TO the computer FROM diablosport's servers. that's your problem.

only way around it is to get them to open up the firewall/antivirus settings on your machine for ya, so that your info can be accessed... or, you have to run it on another computer outside of that network you're on so you don't have that issue.

Lew is our forum support guy, but to be honest, I dont know what the requirements are specifically....but I can say that I have never seen anyone have this much of an issue getting the software to register.

Any chance of simply installing it on a non-network PC?

basically... you need to allow your pc to be accessed from the internet... need to let connections IN, not just out...

cuz if the software/diablo servers can not read the machine ID of your computer/windows registry, and get your ip address, then you will not be able to register the software and use it.

simple enough.

or, like mike said... use a pc that just has plain ol' internet access, and not under the network/IT constraints.
