To many packets too read
To many packets too read
just got a new 6.2l GMC was excitied to update my predator u7194 to the new tunes, but it seems it does not have the memory any solution, going to an older tune is not an option they don't support the 6.2l truck is a crew cab slt 4x4
RE: To many packets too read
you may have to work with diablosport to make a limited crom to add the 6.2L truck calibration you need but in a smaller crom to fit in your predator.
RE: To many packets too read
thank you for the quick reply, that does not sound like it will happen fast, I may have to look for another solution, went away from chips to programmers to avoid this as I switch trucks every 2 to 3 years, now it looks as though I have a brick, it did serve me well with my 2008 5.3 should have let the guy keep it. I don't know where I will find 7 bills too drop on a trinity.
RE: To many packets too read
well, switching to programmers was not an option as you cant chip any of the newer vehicles.
Its not as bad as it seems on the crom work. I know of a few people in the dodge predator area that had it done and mike was pretty helpful. It probably would only take a couple days once you give him the information.

RE: To many packets too read
that's good news
Re: RE: To many packets too read
they refused and said they don't do that, and that you don't work for diablo sport? Great supportconcoursd wrote:you may have to work with diablosport to make a limited crom to add the 6.2L truck calibration you need but in a smaller crom to fit in your predator.

Mike I have already talked to you on the phone and in pm's, those were your exact words, and autoanything is sending me the receipt, and mine was also registered. You did not want to help, the first words out of your mouth was oh you did not buy it new? If you don't want to support your product than fine, you guys made the crom file to big, and also admitted that there were still u7194's out for sale with the lower memory and basically it was buyer beware. huh?

We dont work for DiabloSport. we are a reseller of the Predator. They do have a hardware upgrade program. I am not sure if that would be appropriate for your issue or not. I was not aware that they do no do it for the GM gas predators. They didnt make the crom file too big, GM just kept making new calibrations for the same vehicles so the file kept getting bigger, hence you need to do an update.
In terms of the statement concerning old inventory with the smaller memory, that is the risk a customer has from buying from dropship only companies that never touch or inventory the products they sell. We touch and inventory every Predator and check or software version and update as needed. We have NEVER run into a predator that had limited memory in it that would not take the latest updates but we move through our inventory quickly. If we ever do run into one, it will NOT be put into our inventory for sale and will be sent back.

well, I understand your frustration.
Did you ever find out when you ordered the predator from autoanything? We sell the predators for $299 now but I understand that would not be an ideal solution.
As I mentioned before, there is a predator hardware upgrade program that is $99 but I am not sure if that program would be appropriate for your situation (if you are outside of the 2 year program) but dont see why it wouldnt.
From what I can tell this issue of running out of room was unforeseeable but still it sucks to fall in this situation.
If you are inside of the 2 year period, then mike said this can be resolved under warranty.
