Curious before I buy from individual

I have the ability to buy a used diablo u7185 from a individual all that I can get from him on this is that he sold his truck (2005 duramax lly). Which is what I have. He gave me the numbers off of the box and the back of the unit. They are as follows:
1. U7185 04-05 LLY
2. 107128

He said that it is unlocked and can be loaded on my truck no problem. Any other info that I should know about this before I buy this? Thanks all comments welcome.

I recommend avoiding used tools, you never know what you are going to get.

Older tools can be problematic, and should be sent in for the $99 hardware upgrade to bring them up to date.

I usually don't buy used but, I know this person pretty well and he only had this on his truck for about 8 months then went out and bought a new Duramax. Must be nice to be made of money.. and I am getting this for a real good price for 125 bucks. He is going to let me try to install this on my truck before any money changes hands. Which is pretty good deal i think. How can I tell which version it is the 2.00 or 2.02? THanks for the quick response.

Mike, got the tuner last night and installed it okay, after reading the instructions. I installed the 85hp and then drove it around for about 20 mins, then let it eat. Wow what a difference this makes. I came to a complete stop and let her spool up and then let off the brake. She left about 40 to 50 feet of rubber on the ground. I am running 285/75/16 goodyear duratracs on it with no other mods as of yet. This is a occasional driver for I have a work truck that I drive daily, what is your opion on the tune to run. I don't tow very often and I am looking for better mileage and performane when that little rice burner gets beside me and thinks that he can fit infront of me running down the highway if you know what I mean. Any suggestions will be appreciated. I also looked at the version that I have and it is the 2.00 also another number on the first screen said v601. Thanks Tim
