9r10 or 9r11

Post by 6liter »

Hi guys, I have a preditor 7165 in my 06 6.0L with cal id vxcf7h3 and a v9r10 program in it. I'm not real happy with the program to little low end and poor performance over all. What will the v9r11 do for me
is it a better tune or mostly the same. A little help please, I have slow Internet so I would like to know befor I spend about 2 hrs on line dounloading the other tune

thanks. Rick

Several of us with the 7165 & the 6.0 took a step backwards with the v9r11 program. I understand Don is working on a fix for several issues & I've been reading that a new program should be out soon. If I were you, I would wait for the fix.

I also agree. I just hope we are not let down by there upgrade. I miss the 21 mpg on the Hwy and the horses to back it up...I'm driving around an Excursion that feels like a ton of bricks and sucking fuel faster then the Saudis can ship it.

Just waiting to get my hands on a truck, the one i usually use has a fuel leak he is currently getting fixed, once i get it ill flash the ficm with the newest update and see if it starts limiting fuel on me. The truck was flashed to vxcf9 and i don't recall having any issues so thats why i believe its in the ficm programming, but ill need to flash and log to be sure.

Cool thanks. I had my ficm replaced a while back and my custom tune that don made me was lost when ford reflashed my truck. Unfortunate but that's what happens sometimes

Hey Don, is it possible for you to take the tune you made me last year: the vxcf5h5 and re cal it for my current ID or do you have to write a whole new one for this: vxcf7h3. Just wondering

well the when th vxcf9 came out i immediately got a truck, flashed it and made sure everything was working and it all looked good. I never bothered to flash the ficm as it was never an issue. I guess the boys over at ford got a bit smarter heh
