03 LB7 checking balance rates

Just curious how does one check balance rates I have the predator do I need to interface it with my laptop via serial cable?

the instructions had no directions on how to do this.

not available for your model year. It is available only the on predator for 2006-2010 duramax.

It used to be available for the LB7. My brother has a Predator he uses on his 03 and it DOES check balance rates. I have used it on mine a few times to check things that my so called new and improved version no longer has. Good luck with getting it added. I have been asking and waiting for over a year.

I am about to send mine in for the upgrade and unlock. When I talked with the tech, he said they are now able to check balances for the injectors. Mine is a 2003 Duramax.

I did not know to ask that question. I can tell you that when I asked, he put me on hold, supposedly to ask around to make sure he was right.

He came back and confirmed that it would do that.

Old U7180s can read balance rates, newer ones can not.

It means dont do the upgrade if you want to keep your ability to check balance rates.

I got one better. I asked this question in one of the other threads. Can you go backwards in versions to make this a useful tool?

I dont think so because the hardware is different. Since we are talking about a hardware upgrade and software upgrade I doubt it is possible. If it was just a simple software update on the same hardware, then it would be easy to go back.

Hosed again. Can't go backwards to get information and nothing to go forward to. I guess maybe someday they will figure it out. HA.
