still need help with adjustments and logging

Post by searles_400 »

i really havent gotten an answer yet so im going to try again. i have installed my predator on my 06 hemi and used the 93 octane canned tune. now maybe i am wrong, but cant i hook it up somehow and run a log with the pids that are recommended in another thread, and then somehow send them to diablosport to be looked at, and then told what adjustments need to be made. if that is right, can someone please tell me how i do all of that. all i have done is installed the canned tune, but id really like to run a log and have it looked it and analyzed. please guys.....any help would be great. especially step by step instructions. thanks

You can do all of that. There are instructions on how on the web site. Go to downloads and you will find them. I also have a web site that has the diablo inst that are more detailed than the ones diablo has. I have tryed to attach the link for some one else here but could not figure out how to do it. If you want the link you can email me at [email protected] and I will send you the link.

Here is my latest datalog. I did this after putting on a new ported manifold and 62 mm throttle body and spacer. Can someone take a look at it and let me know what I can do to enhance the performance. It seems sluggish in all gears.

I did another datalog this afternoon. This has more of the PIDs listed in another forum.

First of all, get rid of the TB spacer. They only decrease performance. Then log again and post up.

I have heard that before. How or what causes a spacer to decrease the performance?

If your looking for > How to Tune Your Hemi Book with a preditor or trinity you wont find it. You will get somewhat an idea of how to by reading the supplied manual and the so, so, web site. DS does a great job of helping, but sometimes forget that they know where everything is and how it works, so to them or others, its easy !. Sure if you work with it every day. The best info I found was here, I read EVERY single thread in this forum. Searched out abreavations of tuners in search engins, talked to people in the know. Learn to read your logs. And as a noobe its not easy, with NO good book/ manual on the subject.
When I started, I got more fuel by changing jets,,,,not no more....;plolololol good luck and the best to ya

Looked at both logs. They look pretty good. Only one degree of ST retard is ok. You might be able to get rid of it with more fuel but what you have now is OK. I have a web site that has some very detailed instructions for the deablo sport. I can not figure out how to attach it here. If some one can tell me I will give you all the link

Director, you should really start your own thread.

The spacer comment doesn't apply to an SRT-4, they come with one from the factory. I'm really not sure why you would want such a large throttle body on a stock turbo. Put the stock one back on and see what happens. You didn't log baro or avg map to use so there is no way to see what you were boosting.
The apostrophe does not mean "Look out, here comes an S"!

"I couldn't care less" means it is impossible to care less - "I could care less" just makes you look stupid.

At the time the throttle body and ported intake was next on the list.

I did forget to log both of those, but can tell you that the stock gauge spiked to 19-20 and finally settled in at 16. We are in the process of getting the exhaust side together this month. Bigger turbo, exhaust and fuel system. Should be completed by the end of April.
