Do I need to return the truck to the stock tune every time I change tunes or can I just jump from tune to tune.

No need to return, just pick another tune and install it. Only put back to stock if your going to download new tunes and upgrades for a precaution. So if something happens with the predator or file you are safe till you fix it.
