unable to save factory tune

i have a 2007 dodge 1500 and im trying to use the tuner but it says it may already have a performance tune on it. when i go to restore backup tune it says its already on or was never saved and i cant force the factory tune because i need a password to do so. can anybody help me out as to what may need to be done?

well, if you can't install a tune because it says there may be a tune on it already, then it has not saved a copy of your original backup either... so, if it doesn't have your original backup tune saved in it, then it can not restore it back to your car - because it never saved it to begin with.

so then how can i get it back to the factory tune? it has an option to force it back to factory but you need a password

you can't... the predator does not have the original stock factory tune saved in it at all...

it wouldn't let you because it thinks your truck already has a tune on it... before you ever got the predator... it's saying there is a tune on the truck already, that it's not the stock original tune on the truck....

only way for you to be sure that the current tune in the trucks ecm is the stock original tune, is to take it to a dealer and have them flash it with a stock dodge factory tune...

that "force" option is for people who's predator DID save the original backup out of the vehicle before already, and it lets them force the original stock tune back on to the vehicle...

yours never even saved the original backup, because there is a non-factory original tune already on the truck, so that "force" is not an option for you.
