it will do it, but I would always recommend the cables no matter what!rdrnr1963 wrote:Hopefully this issue will be resolved. This was one of several reasons I bought the predator in the first place was to eliminate skip shift without having to buy the cable.

well, you guys both have the same calid, and it seems to be working on most other calids, so we are looking into why it will not disable on your car.

Ok. Thanks for the help. In the meantime, I've attached my tune file as well.mikel wrote:well, you guys both have the same calid, and it seems to be working on most other calids, so we are looking into why it will not disable on your car.

Just so I am on the right page during this exchange, the cables we are talking about are the interface cables used to attach the Predator to our PC....correct? We are NOT talking about the Skip Shift Eliminator which plugs into the car's wiring between the harness and SS solenoid?mikel wrote:it will do it, but I would always recommend the cables no matter what!rdrnr1963 wrote:Hopefully this issue will be resolved. Ok, it seems as though there is one common thread here in the same calid. Like I have said, if this can be resolved, then I am a happy DiabloSport customer. Getting rid of the SS is the main reason I purchased the Predator. I will anxiously be awaiting an answer.
Did some research on the PCMs. (I work for a Dodge dealership)
At the moment, only four PCMs are available to order for the 2010 Challenger.
If the car has an automatic trans, there is a specific PCM for each of the three engine options. 6.1, 5.7, and 3.5
Only one PCM is available for the 6spd. cars regardless whether is has a 6.1 or 5.7L. I thought this was interesting information.
The PN# for that PCM is 5150504AA
Hope that may be of some assistance to the DS guys.

No, he's referring to the "skip shift" eliminator cable which attaches to the skip shift solenoid. The other cable you mention is (or should be) the same on every predator produced which interfaces with the OBD II port on your car.fasbird wrote:Did some research on the PCMs. (I work for a Dodge dealership)

Not the OBDII attached cable. I am referring to the cable used to attach the Predator to the PC for updates and downloads.
I will wait for the answer to why the SS doesn't work in our application.
However, why in the world would I buy the SS Eliminator cable for $20 if the Predator was marketed and claimed to electronically eliminate the SS?
I will be slightly patient and listen to what the answer is. I think that would be fair.

Ok, I gotcha. Either case, they are referring to the skip shift eliminator cable which attaches to the skip shift solenoid. The USB-Serial Cable used to attach the Predator to your PC is simply for updating the predator or downloading your specific files and would have no influence on whether or not skip shift was functional. That feature is a software/flash issue which appears to be "possibly" related to specific cal id numbers. We'll know for sure when Diablosport posts a fix for it but their tech support was leaning towards that explanation as a cause when I talked to them this morning.fasbird wrote:Not the OBDII attached cable. In addition, some people may add that cable if they are having issues turning skip shift off with a Predator OR of course if they don't own a predator. When I spoke to Mike Litsch (hope I spelled that right) this morning, he said that they will be working on resolving the issue. You'll have to forgive me, but does the advertising for a Predator actually claim that it turns skip shift off or is that just a known feature? I don't remember reading that anywhere, so I guess I'll have to look again.
Ok, just looked through the user manual, and it does indeed mention adjustable parameters or control of "CAGS" or Computer Aided Gear Selection (Skip Shift), so I guess you learn something new every day. Since this is an advertised feature for the Predators and mentioned in the user manual, I'm sure DS will resolve this issue (hopefully).

I also "hopefully" believe they (DS) will come to the plate. I was always taught to give the benefit of the doubt, so that's the direction I'm going to take.
