Don I tried your 9r12 tonight on my truck tonight. Really helped it out, still just doesn't feel like there is 100 hp there. Really helped from the 9r11 Thanks I appreciate it. Hopefully I can drive it a little more later this week and give you some real feedback. Thanks again for all of your help.

Don my cal I'd is vxcf5h5 let me know what you think we can do. Also can you tell me if when I log my torque numbers if that is flywheel torque or at the wheels. Thanks for all your help.

thats just an indicated torque of where its at in the torque tables, pay no real attention to that, just gives you an idea. IF anything, it will be a flywheel torque. That 100hp is pretty aggressive, i added fuel, and helped the ramp rate so as soon as the pedal is down it goes to whatever i command for fuel.

Is there anyway that we can get more power out of it? I had an edge Juice w/attitude Platinum with hot code and sold it because I wanted a Diablo. I really enjoy the Diablo but it really just seems like my edge on the hot setting had tremendously more power. Just wondering if there is anyway that I can get a more aggressive tune. Thanks Again

Grugly,
Go to http://diablosport.com/index.php?name=P ... 7&start=15 & download from there. You need to be logged in or it won't show up...took me a minute to figure that one out!

Don,
Loaded up the 9r12 last night on my 06, cal id #VXCF4H2, it is hands down better than the 9r11. However, I believe it is still not as strong as the previous 100 HP tune. To me, the low end is stilll not as strong, but the mid range seems about right. It's to early to tell about the mileage as I've only got about 50 or 60 miles on it so far. I think it needs some tweaking, but thanks for the effort.

I did tweak more more minor instance in the tune, a peak fuel flow function. Now remember if the trucks have been updated nearly every single cal ID runs a different open loop vgt duty cycle. I tend not to touch it as people get used to their specific cal id's cycle and when i mess with it they complain heh. This duty cycle will determine a lot about how the truck will respond everywhere. You run a higher cycle, the turbo will spool faster but then you need to ramp it open quick to achieve maximum boost as rpm rises. Remember since its actuated there is a slight delay as it opens so its a bit tough to get it to everyone's liking. I only run about 10% extra fuel on the lower levels, but i removed any limitations that would cut any fuel back as well. However it jack it up too much, you lose mileage. The trucks are hands down the ultimate custom tuner truck for sure as its tough to please everyone with one singular tune ya know? Good news is diesel custom tuning will be released to dealers shortly (if it hasn't been already)

Don I know that you are ridiculously busy with all of this vxcf9 trucks and their issues but you said that you only run about 10% extra fuel on lower levels, I am wondering if there is anyway that you could write me a custom tune that really gives it the fuel right off for maximum torque numbers throughout the power range. I am looking for a tune that is going to give me an edge in the local truck pulls.

Hey Don.
Thanks for your hard work on these tunes, I installed the 9r12 on Friday the 2nd and only use the 100 hp and it feels good as a daily driver and has lots with the hammer down but it seems to defuels hard upon releasing the cruse with the break or the off button wondering what can be done about this. It also seems to surge at anything over 2800 rpm and defuels as soon as soon as I let off even a little at high speed. A little info please

thanks, Rick
