U7191 predator to v8r08 What is new

Post by spyksta »

Hi, I just purchased a U7191 for my 05 GTO M6 and found out that it was on revision v8r07 so I purchased the power supply and cable and updated the predator, after reinstalling my original backup of my stock tune of course, (I have been lurking), what I would like to know is what changes this revision brought and also is TM off by default on the Diablo tune and the 91 octane tune?, also when I first installed the Diablo tune I got the CEL errors and fuell gauge errors after a couple days of driving and the car ended up totally dead, like another poster stated, however before it went tits up I reinstalled the orignal backup and it still was giving errors until it totally would not start. Disconnecting the battery for 20 minutes was to no avail and had to have car towed to dealer. Dealer stated that it was a wiring short to one of the modules and fixed it under warranty, I then reinstalled the Diablo tune and so far no problems, I hope it was just a weird coincidence, BTW I have had the car for almost 2 years and it had just hit 13000 miles when this happened. Only mods to car are K&N panel filter and a shfiter, so it is as close to bone stock as you can get,

the new revision only provides support for new calibration ID's for the gto's and SSR's... there are no changes/updates to the tunes.

yes... obviously a tune would/could not create the wiring short to one of the modules... so it was a coincidence. You'll be all set now!! ;)
