hot topic yes, but like we discussed, in my 4 years here I have never seen this calid, yet we have sold 1000s of U7165 Predators, so it is odd that it is causing problems. Don will get it figured out. Havng it on the bench to play with helps a LOT.

yea its an oldie ax and the tuning is a liittle strange on this one compared to the older stuff. You are the first person ive ever seen with the cal id. Good news is, i got it fixed on trinity, it is reading and writing a vxam2 pcm with zero issues. Predator on the other hand, another story. I still suggest ripping the pcm and letting me update it, the vxam2 is a shit calibration to begin with. I could update you to the newer stuff allowing the truck to really run. The vxam2 leaves sooooo much to be desired as opposed to the newer calibrations. I can do jack with the turbo in yours, timing is real 2D etc etc..

any progress yet ? i realize that i'm sounding like a broken record here but...

If you have been tuning the 6.0 since it came out then why is it so hard to find a old tune file ? aren't there guys that have been at the company long enough to remember how to tune the older cal ID's ? " having it on the bench helps " i bet , me having the software would help too i could have learned to code it by now by reverse engineering it. pulling my trucks computer is out of the question. i'm not sending it clear across your country. its a daily driver and at 13 mpg it needs a tune on it.

now why a fix was needed on a tuner( trinity) i DONT own and that " we've never seen your CALID or had issues
" on has got me dumbfounded and honestly pissed the F*@k OFF.

now as far as being a shit CAL this may be true but .. the truck hauls ass for being a stock 6.0 tipping the scales at 7220lbs. and considering that Ford flashes the truck when its hooked to the IDS and its still got the original should tell you something.....

the trinity handles the file system differently, and is more of an issue to fix. When we fix, we do it in series, first trinity as its more complex then predator. The problem right now is your file size, i dont want to go off explaining as ill be here forever but it comes down to file size, 03-04 use a differnt file size v.s. 2005+. Put it this way...stuff that works on windows 98 rarely works good on windows xp right? Thats basically what we are running into on pred, old software v.s. new firmware. updates take time not to mention there are more issues then just that with the 6.0 trucks, vxcf9 is being a bastard as well and that needs to be rectified as well, trinity also has a new way to handle 6.0 and 6.4 and that needs thorough testing.

so how about that tune ?

i read in another thread some boasting about "we have the best products and service." but to date i cant see it.

I don't care about trinity , i don't care about VXCF9. i DO care that i have a 300 dollar paper weight sitting here! if you cant tune my truck man up and admit it . I'll sell the predator and buy a better tuner.
