To everyone I have been a loyal Diablosport customer since my 2001 7.3 was new, then when I bought my 2006 6.0l... Yes there are issues as with any programmer, Ford flashes vehicles every time they come in for service---then it is up to these guys to get the tune modified for all of us unfortunate ones that had our trucks flashed. Yes it is "Bitch" to be with out the power and fuel mileage...But they do a very good job getting out the mods. I have a buddy who has the same truck I do but a SCT programmer and he has had more issues with his truck and programmer than I have. I believe it is luck of the draw with these trucks either you get a race horse or an old mule.
We should show some love to our friendly programmers and give them the time they need to resolve the issues Ford gave them and us when the came out with the new Cal ID's.

Borntofish42 I see what you are saying and it sucks for all of us people who are suffering after buying this product. But I don't really care if other programmers from different companies are having more problems...I did not buy there products...I bought the Predator. There are many of us who have had this Low Mileage and the lack of HorsePower for at aleast a year now...It just so happens that enough people are coming forward with there unhappyness. To tell me that a company came up with a buisness plan and presented it to a bank that the way they will satisfy there customers was by using there buddys truck when he is in town or it's not in a shop for a fuel leak is ....to be honest ....pretty stupid idea. I wouldn't even tell my customers that. They need to put full resources on this matter and get it fixed. Take a look around Borntofish42.....There are many of us who are not happy. Some people are asking for there money back. They should pull there product from the shelves until they have this issue worked out. People sink alot of money into there trucks as a recommendation from the product....Exhaust, Intakes...others....to only find out that the $400 product they just bought is junk........

The point is we all bought Ford trucks and are wanting these guys to help US make them better. At the same time Ford is trying to improve their product with Cal ID upgrades causing a disconnect between both parties and US. We chose to use predator on our trucks and everyone here blames Diablo for the shortcomings. Lets blame Ford for re-flashing our truck without permission and vent on their web sight. Again we all made the choice so we have to live with it or sell it.

"well, considering the Predator is a dying product line, and Trinity is where things are at now, engineering forst makes fixes for trinity, then they trickle down to Predator. To be honest, just the fact that they were willing to try this on such an old, obvioulsly not popular calibration says a lot toward how far we went to help." - Mike L. from another thread
Mike,
I purchased a predator brand new not so long ago. Had you made that comment before I made the purchase I probably wouldnt have bought it. This makes me wonder about a few things: 1-How long will it even be supported before you tell me that its outdated and I need to buy the trinity or whatever the newest thing is at that time. 2-What diffenence does the popularity of a certain calibration have to do with anything? If you tell someone that a product will work on their vehicle, then it should. Period. I understand that the guy that you made this comment to had been dancing on your nerves for a while now, but he does bring up some valid points. Since your "working on it", can we get an idea of how long it is going to be before something happens with this? I also agree that Ford caused this headache in the first place, but I was hoping Diablo would have been on top of a fix sooner. I understand some time is needed to fix it, but how much time do you really need? Thanks for your time and effort to fix this, but peoples patience is wearing thin here.

In reference to the statement you quoted, it was about a calid that has been part of a standing recall from Ford since 2003, and there are likely NO other trucks with it anywhere. I have never in the 3.5+ years I have been here seen someone with that calid have an issue, nor has it ever been reported to us by any customer.jtc1983 wrote:"well, considering the Predator is a dying product line, and Trinity is where things are at now, engineering forst makes fixes for trinity, then they trickle down to Predator. On that note, EVERY other calid in existence seems to be supported, and that will not change.
We will continue to offer free updates to support new calibrations from ford for a full 2 years after the end of production on Predators, which has yet to happen.

I have had my U7165 about a year and have only gotton about two weeks worth of use out of it due to the new ford flash and now no power and fuel milage is about the same as stock.mikel wrote:In reference to the statement you quoted, it was about a calid that has been part of a standing recall from Ford since 2003, and there are likely NO other trucks with it anywhere. I have repeatedly asked and have been told we are working on it and have received the 9t12a crom and is no better than the last one still no power or very little power compared to stock not even close to what is was when I first purchased the tool.
Would be nice if we could atleast get a straight answer like "we cant fix the problem" you might want to move on at the least I would have a $400 dollar door stop................
I am sure they know what is causing the issue and also at the least if it can't be fixed with there programming they could advise as to what we need to do to get it repaired.
And yes I am getting a little irritated do to the lack of information and support from Diablosport to correct this problem........
Am I asking to much to get a straight answer?
Just my two cents...........
Thank you,
RE: Re: RE: The Predator Diesel Group
the problem with these newer ford flashes it they cut back the maximum pulse width in the FICM tuning. im surprised you guys at diablo havent done anything with FICM tuning on these trucks lately, back in the day the original predator for the 6.0L powerstrokes was actually a FICM flasher and did not touch the PCM or TCM. someone that works there must know how to tune these FICMs still. there is NO FICM tuner currently available for these trucks, the only way to have it done is to send it out. it might be profitable for you guys to incorporate FICM tuning into the current predator or design something else that can tune the PCM TCM and FICM. even the older flashes on any year truck that gave great power/mpg will pick up some power and mpg with a good FICM tune. you guys out there with these later ford flashes that want to restore your trucks original power and pick up fuel economy you should check out www.powerhungryperformance.com or www.innovativediesel.com for FICM tunes that will bring back what fords new flashes have taken away.
just to show you how poorly the 100hp predator tune is in a truck that has been reflashed recently, my truck with a 60hp tow tune from innovative diesel walked away from my buddys 03 f250 6.0L with the diablo 100hp program installed, we raced about 5 times.
