5.7 parameters

Post by lilhemi »

Mike.

Please offer some specific tuning info for questions below.

I see mention of a timing change of 10%, if max WOT is 23 only a couple 3
more degrees is not enough.

I see that fuel maps can be changed by the operator and also that a file needs to be sent to your specialists. Which is true. Real time tuning is what's needed.

There are package deals since Innovate is involved. With the LC1 option
the AF can be seen on the tuner screen? What method is then used to
change the fuel?

Thanks,Wes

Ok...let see here....
Timing adjustments can be made in the WOT range in 3 different rpm ranges.
Not sure where you got 10%, but it will likely be more like +/-20-25%.
Fuel can also be adjusted at WOT by the same percentages.
Simple changes like these canbe made right through the Predator.
Custom tuning will be available through our CMR dealers.

The new plug in that innnovate is offering allows the Predator logs to be played back on your PC while viewing the A/F at the same time, but I do not think it will allow you to see A/F on the Predators display.

I looked through the site - how can I tell where a dealer is near / in the Toronto, Ontario, Canada area?

Let's hope the timing for NA motors is whatever it takes to get in the mid 30 degree area to make power. +25% of 21 stock is too weak. That's SC crap.

Please explain what you categorize as custom tuning thru dealers. Please give some examples so I know what I can do and what I can't do.

So if I understand the data is downloaded to a PC and that data is like a plot and a user can directly increase or decrease A/F
at locations along the plot at certain RPM and get the A/F back in line. Is that how it works? Then the new fuel curve is loaded into the predator and then into the rig.

Thanks for your help.

Go ahead and run mid 30s for timing on it and you'll find out how crappy the stock rods/ pistons are. The hemi cylinder heads reach peak efficiency of about 26-28 degress, just like all other cylinder heads made in the last 10-15 years. There are reasons they only let adjustable parameters be limited- and this is one of them.
