Where to wire the power for EGT module?? which fuse???

Post by Speardog »

I have got everything setup for the EGT module, but I am have trouble figuring out where to wire the power for the module. There are empty fuse slots in the fuse panel, but not sure if I can wire it through the underside of the panel so i can use a fuse like any other factory connection. I really dont want to use a T-connector. Anyone know which empty fuse location to use and how to wire it??

BTW, I have a 2007 5.9.

A friend of mine just installed the EGT in his 07 5.9 this weekend as well, I'll ask him what he used.

I wired everything up tonight. the puck and EGT module and have the SRT-10 A pillar installed. I wired it to the cigarette lighter fuse. It's ghetto wired just wrapped around one side of the fuse. It works, but I have to come up with something better. I tried to use an "add a circuit" but it did not fit right and was suppose to be the right one. I would like to wire it through the bottom of the fuse box, but i need some type of diagram to show me which wire goes to which fuse. It is very confusing.
