2010 ram engine knock on 89 octane

Let me start off by saying performance wise your product is great. Ive used my trinity on my 08 ram (93 oct.), 08 Aspen (only for logging) and now my
2010 ram (87 octane) but i am using 89 until i break it in. the power is great on my 2010 ram but i can hear a pronounced knock when i give it full throttle. Ive tried different brands of fuel with the same results I am worried that i am going to do damage to my engine. I did try to log it but even on my 2010 i do not have the ability to log knock. I have posted in the past about this issue under missing gauges. Do you guys think maybe i have a lemon trinity? I just think its wierd that its like this on all three vehicles even when i look for limiters rev etc. i have to go into WOT then back out and it appears. is this how its supposed to be or do i have an issue? I did try to reload crom 1r07 several times with the same results.

Lots of us with 09 and 10 ram hemis are having these issues with knock running the canned tunes they say that they are going to revise the tunes if it ever happens as it seems that thier are issues with all the ram tunes and its turning out to be a shit show what a joke. PS they say these tunes have been properly tested my ass

Start making multiple post, took them months to respond to mine. I sold my tuner by then, best of luck to you.

Start off by using 93 octane and see if it helps. If it does help add 5% fuel and retest. If there's an improvement but still a hint of audible Knock, remove 1 degree of WOT timing.

I think your Trinity firmware is a but fubared if you don't have the option to log the basic PIDs. I'd call service and force the old crom 1r06 back on and if that doesn't work, send it back for an exchange.

If you're actually scared of hurting the engine remove 5 degrees of WOT until you can log Knock Retard.

Some need more tweaking than others big F'en deal. Pissing and moaning and just waiting for a handout just makes you look like an incompetant fool. Datalog and use the tool to pull out some timing or adjust the A/F based off your widband.

I swear some of you guys(mostly truck owners) are as dumb as a box of hammers and nearly as lazy. I see post, after post, after post, just biching and whining about what all amounts to as simple little tune tweaks and changes that even my Mom could do. Some of the folks here whine and cry because they are learning. Learning "hands-on" because the manual is for crap. Secondly, if some of the support needed would happen in reasonable amount of time (ie - Ram promised revisions), whines and cries wound not turn into "bitches and moans". BTW: I have every snot nosed 19 year old with a SRT-4 making comprehensive Datalogs, tuning Knock and A/F WITH A WIDEBAND, BY THEMSELVES and basically kicking ass with their DSP. SRT-4 DS users have their shit together and teach and mentor ourselves. We figure the shit out by datalogging and then we TUNE IT WITH THE DSP. We don't wait around to be spoon fed and coddled. If you haven't noticed, the DS forums are nearly devoid of any SRT-4 u7134 related post.

We(u7134) get the same support from Diablosport as you. Imo its more than satisfactory. If there's an issue, it gets a PROPORTIONAL amount of attention.[/b]

There been more than a few times on cars when the DSP 93tune runs like ass. Is it ever the tune's fault? RARELY.
Do users sit on their hands and just make post after post bitching about the tune? NO
So how do they "fix" their "bad" DS tune??
They DATALOG to check to see if there's other mechanical/electrical issues and fix them. They monitor A/F with their wideband. Then they make TIMING, FUEL and BOOST changes to dial in the tune TO THEIR CAR.

No other tool allows the comprehensive Datalogging that DS does. No other tool not only allows for custom tunes but also gives the end user the ability to make FUEL,TIMING changes to tune their vehicle like DS does. If you're too foolish to take advantage of the SIGNIFICANT tuning advantage granted to you by the purchase of a DS tool,, you’re better off stock

I will say, there is a reason that someone like Superchips would never release a tuner for these cars, as the adjustable parameters are almost necessary in some cases.

Can't disagree with you about tunning. And by the way, I did datalog and tune as much as I could. My issue with DS has nothing to do with the basic features. It has everything to do with support and delivering what was put out. Yes, (Mike Levy), I drive a "POS" truck. But I needed transmission schedule and tm settings available to pull my boat and other trailers. No (Mike Levy) It is not a performance car (Like your JEEP LOL), but I do need it to perform non the less. It was put on the forum a couple of months ago that the new revision was coming with trans control. The last post I received from MikeL was that "there will never likely be trans control". WTF????
