I tried to install a new Predator tune U7170 tonight on my 2002 Ford F250 7.3 liter diesel. After going through the procedure carefully, the truck engine turns over but will not fire.
I tried to uninstall the tune, but now the Predator gives me the message to the effect that it cannot read the truck at all.
What do I do now?
I bought the truck used; is there a possibility that there was an earlier tune already installed? If so, what kind of damage would this do?
Thanks,
Dennis

Check the computer under the drivers side of the dash and see if there is a chip installed. If there is, disconnect the battery and remove the chip. Then try to start it.

Thanks for the help! It turns out there was some sort of aftermarket chip already installed in the truck. I removed it as per your instructions and now the truck runs again! That's a huge relief.
Unfortunately the previous owner duct-taped the chip in place and when I tried to remove the tape it ruined the label. I have no idea what kind of chip was in there or who even made it.
