Trouble Code
Trouble Code
I do you go about clearing trouble codes from the ECM?
RE: Trouble Code
clearing trouble codes, or getting them disabled??
clearing them, you just use the predator to scan for trouble codes.. and if there are any that show up, there's an option on there to clear them... select that option...
but if you're talking about disabling trouble codes so they don't come back on at all due to mods you've done to your car, well - you can't... that functionality was removed a few years ago, due to EPA regulations...
you'll need to get a custom tune created by a diablosport CMR tuner (like myself) in order to have the codes disabled in a tune file that you would then import to your predator and then install to your car.
you need to have the usb/serial cable and power adapter for the predator, so that you can connect it to your Windows PC in order to import/export tune files.
and you'll need to download and install the DSDownloader program...
then you'll need to export your original backup stock tune file, and also a copy of the "last tune written" tune file (which is a copy of the diablo tune you have installed in your car)...
then you need to contact a diablo CMR tuner, send 'em those tune files, and pay 'em for a custom tune to disable the necessary trouble codes...
