Wanting to buy a Trinity for 05 GTO.. questions

So I am thinking about buying the touch screen trinity tuner for my 05 GTO M6. Right now I have custom exhaust and a Volant CAI on it. I will be adding a set of Pacesetters LT Headers very shortly too.

My question is, how much HP/TQ gain should I expect from a trinity and does it have any built in tunes to support my mods (mainly the LT headers) or will I need to make a custom tune for it?

you'll gain about 15-20 hp/tq...

you can do some data logging to get your fueling dialed in correctly for your mods... here's info:

for the LT headers, you'll need to get a custom tune created by a diablo CMR tuner (like myself) in order to have the rear O2 sensor trouble codes disabled, and if you are removing your cats as well - those codes will need to be disabled as well in the custom tune.

Ok thank you for the fast and informed response. I think I'm going to go ahead and order myself one today. I'm going to try to keep the cats after the LT headers go on. Pacesetters doesn't make a mid-pipe with cats but I'll have a muffler shop rig something up to get my high flow cats back in there after the header install. Can I just PM you once it's done for a custom tune?

get the trinity... much better than the predator... more features, better logging, etc etc...

So i bought a Trinity and cant get it set up on my computer. I follow the step by step instructions and when i plug in the trinity my computer cannot find the drivers on the disk. Im using windows 64bit Vista

Ok I got it installed onto my computer thank you. However now I cannot get it installed into my vehicle. It's only one cable so I know I'm hooking it up right. When I do it will not turn on though. I have tried several times. I've tried with the key in every position as well. Am I doing something wrong here? I know the trinity is ok because it comes on when connected to the computer and works just fine. Could it be the port in my car is bad?

yep..

check the cig lighter fuse and aux. power port fuses... the obd port is powered by those....

also, plug the trinity into another vehicles' obd port and see if it powers up...
