MIke, here are 91 tune and 93 tune files...

Post by In5ane »

The 91 tune was working, but as I told you...as soon as I loaded the 93 tune, it caused the transmission to stay only in one gear. Not sure what's going on...please check these two files out and let me know what to try.

They look perfect, just like the tunes that are supposed to go in...

Nonetheless, there is a problem. Why would this do this? I doubt it's suppose to..

I've reset the TCM by pulling the fuse, still get the issue. In theory, does pulling the battery cable do anything different from pulling the fuse? Some help with this issue would be nice as I bought this product for the 'great support'. I understand you don't know what's up with it since the tuner is putting out the right tunes to the computer. However, it seems you could give a sh*t whether it's resolved or not. If I don't get it fixed, would like to see about getting a refund and going with a different tuner, perferably one with good tech support. Don't want to cause issues, just want this to work as it should. Thanks!

Ok, found out by screwing around with things that I don't have to reset the fuse after each install. The 93 tune will still lock the transmission into a high gear, but upon turning off the ignition and restarting the truck...it works. However, I would like to get to the bottom of why this does this. Does this shed any new light on things...or do I still get no response?

None of that points to anything to do with the tunes or tuner itself.

really? it doesn't do it until the tuner loads the 93 tune. I saw an earlier post from 2008 where someone was having a similar issue. Seems like you guys would want to check this issue out in case it comes up again. I'd rather not waste my time posting, but figured this board was for tech support, which I was hoping I would get. Maybe you should add into your instructions that if your transmission sticks upon loading the program, turn ignition off, then restart vehicle and hopefully that will work. Then we could expect the problem once it arises.

And, I am sure when and if you run into a one off issue, that nobody else has, they will have just as many answers as we did.

Sorry you felt the need to make the switch, enjoy.
