No Power

Not to keep repeating here, but after losing 5 MPG with the amount of driving I do, this waiting for a fix is costing me an extra $150-160/month. So I hope you can understand my frustration. So far I could have bought this tuner again several times over! Like the old saying goes - Time is money. In this case my money that has been lost. So WHY can't you guys give us a DATE!? If you know what the problem is (which you seem to as per above statements) and the tool doesn't have all the memory to control every system, couldnt you offer a few options? Such as update "a" controls the PCM and FICM and program "b" controls the pcm and tcm or whatever? Then someone could just download the program that best suits their needs. Am I off base here or is there really a need in my case to jack with the tcm settings? I just want my mileage back. The power would be nice too. If I had 50-60 grand to buy a new truck that gets better mileage, I would have already done that. I think I can speak for many of us by saying that we are tired of "we are working on it". Is this gonna happen this week,month,year, or what? OK im getting off my soapbox now. Let me just close by saying- PLEASE HELP US HERE!! I cant afford this extra cost every month forever!

I dont think you will get any kind of answer as none of the questons are being answered about the 6.0's current problems............
But they willl say "WE ARE WORKING ON IT"..........

Yes.

Even flashing the FICM to an older stock calibration would solve the issue...

a. That is not decided yet. Trinity will have the ability to do so, but if a Trinity is not an option, some sort of bench flash will be required.

b. Assuming we decide to offer a FICM flash program, yes, it would have to be sent here.

c. Not on the Predator, no.

d. I have heard there are companies offering FICM flashes, but I do not know who they are.

So as the predator has rapidly become obsolete, and the trinity is the only way to get the power/milage boosts that you guys guaranteed us, would it not be fair for us to send you back our predators in trade for a reduced price on the trinity? I'm not interested in getting my FICM reflashed somewhere because what happens the next time my truck goes into the dealership and ford does it to me again? Then I'll be right where I am now, correct??. After all this time you guys have finally given us what seems to be a straight answer, the predator will not work for us anymore. I am sure I am not the only one who is ready to make a change if we are going to be told to just go buy the trinity.

well at least you are being given a reason why your tuner doesn't work anymore. I am on an old calid that has nothing to do with this new flash from ford all I did was update the predator and I am still having the same problems as everyone else so I fully believe the problem lies with the updates on the predator not the flash from ford. Apparently someone is also working on finding out why the people without the flash from ford are having the same problem. So clearly right there is proof that this has nothing to do with ford, this is a predator issue. I have a custom tune that has restored almost all the power but none of the mileage. Keep workin guys you are half way there. That is pretty weak blaming this on ford the whole time. I posted about this last september when I updated to 9r10 and clearly stated I had not been to a dealer then when hundreds of other people updated their predator all of the sudden this became linked to a flash from ford.

We offer a $99 credit for Predators traded in, and dont forget, the Predator replacement, inTune, will retail for under $400, and you'll be able to use the same $99 credit toward that once it is released.

FWIW, as I have mentioned, we havebeen working on new tunes all week here, and yesterday we made some nice headway towards making these things come back to life, even with the new FICM flash in place.

We are looking to add FICM support to the Trinity, but it will not fit in the Predator.
