2000 Camaro - No Cats

Post by toenale56 »

I recently had my exhaust done on my Camaro. Since then the exhaust has been putting out some white smoke periodically and there is a very strong fuel smell comming form the car. I purchased the Predator U7198 in hopes to help fix this. But I have no idea what would be the best way to complete this. Any ideas ?

I'm pretty new to tuning but my guess is that your fuel trim levels need to be adjusted.
If you are smelling fuel it is probably running rich (too much fuel).
You might have an o2 sensor that is malfunctioning.
You did install the downstream o2 sensor (after where the cat used to be) mounted in your pipe right?

Newer cars need all of the o2 sensors running correctly or else the fuel trim levels will be all out of whack.

do some data logging and see where your average ltft's are at... (long term fuel trims)...
