Whining

Post by 2sscamaro »

You guys apparently found the web site and forums to cry about the predators you bought. Why couldn't you find the site to research what the tool could and could not do and what was required to use it properly BEFORE you bought them??? Sorry but I can't feel sorry for you. A little reading on your part before buying and trying to use the tool is all that would have been needed.

TO reply to buddy I did do my reserch and from what the site said it would do and on what model and year well that was false cause in the application it said that it would do all the way up to 2010 and from what I just saw it does even work on a 2009 Silverado neither but what ever I will find a way to make it work.

ricci151 wrote:You probably wont get help from them. They seem to help out when you have a question but they just refer you to there web page. Obvious it didn't help you. Just like how they sent me and you a out dated product. Real nice huh. Now you got to spend more money on the PC adapter to get there screw up fixed. Way to go Predator.
the way GM keeps updating their programming, there will always be some out there that are "outdated"... that's the whole reasoning behind the free downloadable revision updates...

Updating the predator or trinity to a new revision is not that hard of a thing to do...

I think diablo should make people take a PC proficiency test before selling 'em a programmer, to make sure they can perform basic tasks on their own computers... how's that??

So, will the new U7194 CROM still turnoff the rear O2 sensors?

no... that functionality has been removed for a couple/few years now, due to EPA regulations...

you'd need to get a custom tune whipped up by a diablo CMR tuner in order to have those disabled in the tune file.

Ok, I just downloaded my first update on the u7194 v.9r07 to v.9r15 and had no problems at all. It is very simple even with no "PC proficiency test". I just like to get advise before I tear in to things. I went out and loaded it ion the big 2007, Z-71 MAX 6.0L Silverado and down the road I went. I change the tire size to correct the speed, it was off three mph due to in increase in tire size. I will call ahead to one of my guys and have him hit me with the radar and see how fast or should I say if the speed is correct. The firs feel on the download was that it may make more power down low but I only drove it a mile down the road and back. I will updat on this to see if anybody has more info for me to look at. Thanks for the update guys and I look forward to tweaking it to try to make it come alive a little more off the line. Stay "tuned" for the update...

don't have one, not decided which one...but in general mobiles programmers basically any device that need upgrade of SW you need the data cable to update, it comes free most of the time and it's just a regular or so USB cable, some manufactures make their data cable unique (just because!).
