After stock restore.....

Post by toothpick »

Ok, so my truck goes into the dealership for complimentary service tomorrow. I restored the factory tune yesterday and have been putting some miles on the tune. My question is this, my Predator now is unlocked and restored to its default, my custom tune is no longer on the device. Do I have to wait to upload my custom tune to my Predator until after I reflash my truck after service? Can I go ahead and reload the custom tune with DSDownloader, then when I am done with service, just load the custom tune back? Or do I wait until I get the service done, install the Diablo tune (so it makes a backup and locks VIN) then upload custom tune to Predator then upload custom tune to truck?????

yes, you have to wait...

it will not let you import a custom tune to it unless it has a copy of the original backup saved in it already...

so... after your service, reinstall a diablo tune so it makes the backup of the original stock tune again, and then you'll be able to import the custom tune to the tool, and then reinstall that tune to the truck.
