Gasoline brands vary from state to state, east coast to west coast, north to south and vary from winter to summer blends and whether they contain ethenol or not. Another factor is how old the gasoline is when you fill up. Low volume sales stations may have the gasoline, especially the high octane grades in their tanks for an extended period. Gasoline unlike wine does not get better with age. Trial and error till you get the right brand from the right station>
