Tranny causing KR?

Post by Mike_Levy »

Is that possible? I'm noticing my part throttle KR is happening when the tranny is in the wrong gear, and the motor is lugging. When I manually shift and keep the motor in its happy zone, theres nothing. So obviously its being caused by the high loads and the tranny being in a gear too high.

When you guys finally do release tranny support, will it solve this problem? Perhaps it could be programmed to downshift with a lower load percentage then stock? Or maybe a lower throttle position?

Yes, lugging will cause KR for sure....TCM will allow you to hold gears longer, yes.....or use auto stick for now.

watch your pressure ratio. usually in the high gears, low rpm, pressure ratio can get around .85 to .95 at part throttle. Thats where you'll usually see that KR start racking up. You can fine tune that area with custom tuning.

I'm going to see AJ tomorrow to get my O2s turned back on for inspection, I'll see what he can do with the P-ratio.
