NEED ASSURANCE

Post by stuf2di4 »

DIABLO,

I am new to the diesel world, I bought a 2005 gm LLY to pull my travel trailer. We want to snowbird to southern California this winter, 5 months in Desert Hot Springs. I've been tossing around buying a Diablo Sport Predator but concerned with all the negative stuff on the forums. Can you assure me that when I install this I wont be stranded without a truck. Is there something I should be doing with the truck before I install the Predator. I try to avoid the Dealerships and an empty PCM is not something I want. Please set my mind at ease.

thx Norm

Thanks Diablo, I didn't think my question was that hard.
Anyone here know where I can find a GOOD diesel tuner that won't screw up my truck?

Thx Norm

i do believe that it is one of the good tuners that will just do the work you could search google for handheld tuners if you are not satisfied with this product

Thanks Alfanooos for your comments, I was kind of hoping Diablosport would have jumped in here. Even if they would have said the odds are very low of having problems but they didn't. I wont pursue this this any further. I'm just going to install a performance cold air intake from elsewhere and leave the electronics to people with money to throw away.

Norm, sorrry I missed this post, I was out of town on Friday, and did not see it last week.

There are no concers with flashing an LLY with out Predator or Trinity, we have an excellent flash process, and in less than 5 minutes, you can be up 2-4 MPG and have an extra 40-100 rwhp added to your truck.

I will second MikeL.'s response. I have been running my Predator for the past 60,000 miles and have only programmed the truck back to stock less then I have fingers. I have also been running the 120 tune for about 40,000 miles. I have also only had my in the shop for a intercooler boot coming off and a front hub assembly going bad. I would recommend Predator all day every day.
