When I plug into my PC and open DS downloader there is the message new updates available. Have tried installing several times but keep getting error message.Here is a copy of the error message.
17:21:37: can't open file 'dsdl_update.exe' (error 5: access is denied.)
17:21:44: Execution of command 'dsdl_update.exe' failed (error 2: the system cannot find the file specified.)

That's because DSDownloader (2.2.1.4) is trying to install the newer 2.2.1.9 version from the website.
Just download it manually and install it.
