Whats coming down the Trinity pipeline?

Post by mikel »

This week I have been testing the new gauge scaling function.

This is going to be a hit with a lot of you for sure.

Right now the gauges auto scale, meaning the high and low ranges are always changing. This new change is going to allow you to set the high and low range of any gauge, so your pointer wont always be floating around like it does now.

An easy way to think of it is, it will now act like your dash gauges, in fact, you can scale the Trinity gauges the same as your dash gauges, which will be pretty cool.

I'll keep thisthread updated with new stuff coming along....

Cool. I thought you were talking about scaling the Display size at first, which would be cool by the way :)

Will this be a user selectable option when it's implemented and will it be universal across the board or individual to each gauge? For example have a tach set with specific upper and lower limits and say a temperature gauge or something that can automatically determine the range.

tacks are prescaled from 0-9000 rpm, but yes, you'll be able to apply the scaling to any radial or sweep gauge.

Any updates on this? Now that I have been watching mine move around for awhile ;) I was thinking it would be nice to see high/low values in addition to the current value, at least on the "Horizontal Slider" gauge. I know the digital gauge has it, but that one's not very appealing to the eye. All the gauges would be nice, but the Horizontal would be easy to do with out making it look cluttered. You could put the High/ Low values across the top where it currently shows the live data, and the actual value in the middle overlapping the bar graph. If that's possible, just throwing it out there.

I was wondering though why the "TRQ ACT" gauge is only in newton meter's, that's torque right, could ft/lbs be added?

the units are as measured by the OEM PCM, but if we can offer a conversion, we'll do it.

Mike,

Are there any plans to offer a tune for the C&L intake for the trinity or would the user have to get it from them (C&L)?
Will you be testing the new intake from ford racing (for the mustang) and creating a tune for it?

What year Mustang are you asking about?

C&L supports all 05-10 Mustangs with their CAI in the CL7140 Predator, and we have support for the new FRPP 85mm CAI in the latest updates.

OK, thank you.

I was thinking CAI...that is something that would require custom tuning.
No canned tunes will be developed for it, as it is not designed as a bolt on for a stock motor....
