RUNNING TOO RICH ON A 2003 MUSTANG GT. NEED HELP

I LIVE IN CALI AND ALL WE HAVE IS 91OCT. IM RUNNING THE PREDATOR ON MY 2003 MUSTANG GT AND I KEEP GETTING CODES SAYING THAT IM RUNNING TOO RICH. ARE THERE ANY UPDATES ON THE Diablo Predator U7146 TO RUN 91 OCTANE???? IF SO WHICH ONE....OR WHAT CAN I DO TO RUN 91 OCTANE???? THANKS FOR THE HELP

The Performance Tune in the Predator will not make your car run rich just because you are running 91 octane fuel instead of the 93 the tune is designed for.

What modifications do you have done to your car? Most likely if you have an aftermarket MAF or CAI kit installed this is what could be causing your rich issue.

Normally the Performance Tune runs fine on 91 octane, however if you are experiencing detonation you can remedy this by selecting Modify Tune, then removing 10% spark from 2-4 and 4-7k, if you still experience detonation then try removing an additional 5%.

thanx for the help. i'll try it. but can you answer one more thing....what are the new updates for the u7146. what do they change and what do they contain??? thank you in advance

What new update? The U7146 has not changed in a couple years.

i havent updated it at all.....so if it has an update if any what does that update contain???

We would need to know what revision you have to tell you what changed.
EWither way, you always want to have the latest software on your Predator, so go ahead and update when you get a chance.

I was also getting a too rich code my problem was that the Predator programming was calling for a larger intake tube coming off the filter of my cold air filter. Once I changed it to a 90mm problem solved.
